My little man is two. Two.
A couple weeks ago, on his actual birthday, I shared with you my last monthly Wyatt post. We didn’t celebrate with family, par-tay style, until this past weekend though. I decided to switch things up a bit from Wyatt’s first birthday party and only do a dessert bar this time around. It seemed like a fun way to celebrate and good way of alleviating some of the cost and time that goes in to hosting a party period. Plus, when it comes to loving chocolate? This kid takes the cake…
No really, he was swiping things left and right the whole time I was setting up! Haha!
My color inspiration for this party was swiped from one of my favorite crafty bloggers, Sara, over on Tell, Love and Chocolate. She has the cutest freaking style when it comes to crafting and the most vibrant Instagram feed ya’ ever did see.
I opted to create my own invites via Canva. $1 for my design? Downloaded? And print it myself? Yes please. If you like the design and want to use it yourself, you can view and edit it here.
I went low key with the decor, although I think the little that I actually purchased had a big impact. Heck I even used leftover invites on the table runner! #resourceful But those big number balloons? Hello!
Everything else was basically tissue paper held up or together with washi tape. I liked the idea of the dessert itself being used as a decor of sorts too. I included some of Wyatt’s favorites — ahem chocolate covered raisins — and Newman’s O’s because, well, they fit the theme and go great with a glass of milk. :)
Overall? A great no fuss happy, happy birthday party. #score
