January and February seemed like baby and/or bridal shower extravaganza for me.  Seriously.  And there’s just something that comes easily with dressing for those kinds of events in the Spring or Summer… heck, even Fall.  Sundresses, flowy dresses, feminine colors… But not in Winter for gosh sake.

So here are two ways that I found to wear not-so-winterish-looks that are most definitely still winter appropriate!

How they are put together:

  1. Feminine pieces (dress or skirt)
  2. Feminine material (flowy accordion chiffon dressy with polka dots or sequin shirt and shimmery textured skirt)
  3. Pops of color (cardigans)
  4. Grounded by a winter appropriate – at least in the Midwest – color (navy). Or by a dark neutral accesory — the black bag.

These outfits will make great season transition pieces as we head into March as well! That is if Spring really will ever come… (womp, womp.)
